    Athlete Spotlight

    Simon Ala

Simon is built like a brick house. And goes to show you don’t need a gym membership to get jacked.

Throughout his Instagram and Youtube channel he does a lot of teaching.

Which is always great to see. Especially for newer people to the world of calisthenics who want to know the secrets behind how certain exercises are performed.

You can see more of Simon here.

    Our Exercise Of The Week

    Ring Muscle Ups

In this week’s exercise highlight Simon is teaching you how to use the false grip for ring exercises like the muscle up... and making it look very easy!

And keeping things in line with his social media presence, he is teaching you how to train the false grip so you can perform ring exercises much easier.

After a while, bar exercises might become too easy for you. It’s then you want to progress to the rings.

They require much more stability and strength to master.

But your progress can explode when they are used right.

Wooden rings are much more comfortable to use than plastic and should be your go too when choosing a quality set of rings.

Grab your wooden rings and elevate your training right here.

    Blog Highlight

In today's blog highlight we discuss how to achieve your first muscle-up.

In the video above, Simon makes the muscle-up look easy. But it can be a very tricky exercise to master.

In today's blog, we discuss the steps you need to take.

The difference between ring and bar muscle-ups.

And we go talk about the false grip and its role in helping you get over that bar.

    Check it out right here.

    Enjoy,

    Ari & Corey
