Attract more wildlife to your garden

    Dear krazypromo,

We now stock a range of Wildlife Friendly Plants!

With more and more natural habitats being taken up for development, our gardens are important areas for our local wildlife. Gardens help to form 'green corridors' especially in towns and cities where green areas are limited. They provide shelter and food for a number of species as well as increasing biodiversity.

Each plant in our plant range has therefore been selected with your garden wildlife in mind, from perennials, shrubs, climbers and fruit plants, to buddlejas and seeds . No matter what the size of your garden or outdoor space, there's something everyone can do to help wildlife thrive.

    It's not just about plants...

As well as having a garden full of wildlife friendly plants, why not also add a insect or butterfly house, a bat box or a hedgehog shelter to make your garden even more of a haven for your visiting wildlife.

A bird feeding area will give your local birds a helping hand, the more variety of foods and feeders on offer the more species you'll likely to attract. Water is also an important factor, so having a water dish is also recommended. Ensuring feeders are filled regularly will put your garden on the 'food map' for your birds, as they'll come to know it as a reliable feeding place. Why not also put up a nest box in a quiet spot, during the colder months birds will use nest boxes as a place to shelter, whilst over the Spring and Summer they will be used to raise young.
