Hello, so if you receive our newsletters regularly, you’ll know that we asked our Customer Service Manager, Nina, to review 14 of our most popular wide calf boots.  Nina made a start with Annfield, in an extra wide calf in a size 8/8.5US 39EU and you can see the results of her first review by checking into our Instagram @widewidths or by following us on facebook @widewidthboots.

From what we’ve seen it seems Annfield was a popular first choice to review and could be one of Nina’s new favourites.  Don’t forget, there is still time to win a pair of wide calf boots by commenting on one of the posts.  We’d love to know what your thoughts are.

One thing is for sure, having shared the experiences Nina has had when trying to buy boots over the years, we were inundated with messages from women of all shapes and sizes who shared their own very personal feelings of frustration.

Body shame and embarrassment were at the heart of the messages we received.  While some members of our community were happy to post in the comments, many messages were sent as PM’s directly to us.

It was difficult reading, so if you were one of the many who reached out, thank you for sharing.  We understand your pain points and we want you to know that your feelings and experiences are widespread. 

In recent years we have introduced a Super Plus Wide range to the collection and have increased the number of colours and styles available in calf width fittings up to 24 inches or 60 cm.
