Get ready to feel cozy with this month's featured yarn, Audine Wools Flannel, which is just as comforting as the name suggests. An insulating blend of 47% Suri, 38% Alpaca Wool, and 15% Merino, it will keep you warm from your head to your toes. This 2-ply DK yarn has enviable softness and drape that will lend class to your creations. Each 100g skein comes with 231 yards, and you will receive two matching skeins in your color vibe of choice.

    From Left to Right:

Buffalo (Energize Me): The beautiful deep burgundy of Buffalo reminds us of buffalo check flannel shirts and blankets, perfect for wrapping around your shoulders as you sit by the fire and watch the flickering flames.

Slate (Chill Out and All Natural): Both our Chill Out and All Natural color vibes this month are the sophisticated Slate, a dark grey that calls to mind the deepening shadows of the forest as nightfall approaches.

    Sock Knit & Crochet Club

Get ready for your cabin retreat by making a pair of socks in this month's featured yarn, Uru.Yarn Flicker Sock. This blend of 70% Non-Superwash Merino, 20% Nylon, 10% Stellina is warm and snuggly for your next pair of footwear or whatever project this yarn is destined to become. Each 100g skein comes with 400 yards of 3-ply fingering-weight yarn, and your crate will include one skein in the color of your choice.

    From Left to Right:

Thicket (Energize Me): The earthy tones of the forest shine in this delightful basil green.

Lodge (Chill Out): Enjoy the crisp blue of a woodland stream with this muted medium gray blue.

Sapwood (All Natural): The creamy beige found inside logs of freshly chopped wood inspired this natural toned colorway.

The Patterns in Sock Knit & Crochet Club

    Knit Pattern

Nicole Bracey / Woolfield brings us the delightful Whimsy Wooded Socks. A lace pattern creates eyelet holes that form diagonal spirals around the ankle while a solid foot offers comfort and warmth. Each leg spirals in opposite directions for a fun twist and calls to mind the swirling snowflakes in a snow globe.

    Crochet Pattern

The Snowy Path socks by Louise Bélair are the perfect project to warm your toes this wintry season. Featuring post stitches running up the foot just like a path through the snow, and bricks of half-double crochet between them, you're sure to enjoy every stitch just like you will enjoy wearing your new fashionable socks.

Introducing: KnitCrate's Exclusive LL Yarn Co. Quarterly Retreat Club

Earlier this year, dyer Amanda Jarvis made the decision to discontinue the Mrs. Crosby and Lorna’s Laces brands. In their place, she has begun dyeing under the LL Yarn Co. brand that features layered multi colors and tonal shades to spark your creativity.

As a result, we have had to make changes to our Mrs. Crosby Travels Club with an offering that better fits the new LL Yarn Co. aesthetic. We are excited to share this newly packaged offering along with our first quarter’s collaboration!

Each quarter, LL Yarn Co. Retreat Club members receive a specially curated care package inspired by a different destination ideal for an indulgent maker’s retreat.

    What’s Inside:

★ Approximately 200-300g (over 2-3 skeins) of premium, hand-dyed LL Yarn Co. yarn (you’ll receive the perfect amount needed for either of the included patterns).

★ Two exclusive, designer patterns - one for knitters, one for crocheters - complete with instructions and pictures to make a specially designed piece from the quarter’s theme.

★ An exciting extra related to the quarter’s retreat destination, patterns, or overall theme.

★ A digital booklet filled with the month’s patterns along with content that entices the senses to help you create a retreat experience right from your home.

With your membership, you will receive an everyday member 30% off discount on any item in our Member Central shop. You will also receive an exclusive Double Down coupon code good for the quarter to be used to purchase additional skeins of LL Yarn Co. yarn (not combinable with the Member Central discount).

This January, our retreat setting is the stunning Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada where we imagine staying cozy at a cabin in the woods near Lake Louise…all without leaving your armchair.

This quarter’s Retreat Club features LL Yarn Co. Icy, a 100% Superwash Merino, 4-ply, worsted weight yarn. Enjoy the snowy peaks around Lake Louise as it intermingles with wintry shades of blue and green from the lake itself and surrounding pine trees in the Snow Capped colorway. Bring the beauty of Canada into your next project with this exquisite yarn that packs generous yardage and just the right amount of softness and drape. Members will receive 2 - 150g skeins packing 315 yds in each skein.

From Aimée Hansen / Yarngerie comes the delicate yet warm Majestic Moraine cowl. Inspired by the teal blue waters of Lake Moraine in Banff National Park, this oversize cowl with a sophisticated mesh stitch will keep you warm during all your wintry adventures. Cozy ribbing adorns the edges and creates a piece that is perfect for layering.

Claire Golden / Once Upon A Yarn brings us the Mountainside Set complete with a headband and handwarmer to keep you cozy from your head to your fingertips for your cabin retreat. The star stitch beautifully highlights the color changes of our featured yarn and provides a squishy texture to the fabric. Easily adjustable for any size and quick to work up, you’ll want to make a set for everyone you know.
