Growing up many of us saw parents, grandparents, and extended family who served in previous conflicts withdraw into themselves, eyes set firmly on a time and place long past and yet painfully present. Many of us now are Veterans, carrying that very private pain, but respectfully, Memorial Day isn’t a day exclusively for grief. Not at all. It is a day for honoring those we lost, celebrating their courage, absolute devotion, and incredible impact on our lives. It is a day to acknowledge their presence in our hearts even though they are now absent from our life. At Grunt Style, that is what we intend to do -- after twenty years of war, we feel confident we know what we're talking about. At Grunt Style, we have an annual tradition of reading off all the names of the fallen in the Global War on terror. This year, we will have our name reading ceremony available for anyone to watch on Memorial Day. We will publish the video in its entirety on our site. We challenge you to sign up to receive a notification when the reading begins - click here to be alerted. From your Grunt Style Veterans and Patriots, P.S. This We’ll Defend |
