| Presented by | | | | | The cost of land is going up, and not just here on earth. Prices are also skyrocketing for "land" in the virtual realm known as the metaverse. That has opened the door to a new kind of profession: metaverse landlord.
It's a surprisingly lucrative business, according to Sam Huber. His company Admix has been buying virtual land in the metaverse and leasing it back to companies that want to dip their toe into this emerging virtual sandbox. With lots costing up to $1 million, big brands like McDonald's and Pepsi are glad to rent, and Huber is at the ready.
