On Monday evening Creative Director Wes Gordon attended the Met Gala with Emmy and Critic’s Choice Award nominee, actress and producer Tessa Thompson, in a custom look inspired by the Fall Winter 2022 Runway.
With the theme of this season as ‘Gilded Glamour’ guests including Wes and Tessa indulged in showstopping looks to wow on the year’s most important red carpet.
“The starting point of her dress was from the Fall Winter 2022 collection. In the show the look was a contrast between the tailored faille bodice and the tulle train, and for Tessa we wanted to create an even more extraordinary celebration of the Herrera atelier’s capability and craftsmanship. The entire bodice is made of blush pink gathered tulle, with an external corset with tulle held by grosgrain ribbon, evoking the Gilded Age theme. The dress was finished with hand gathered halter neck and a cascade of 200 meters of gathered tulle making up the showstopping train.”

Actress best known for her roles in the “Thor” and “Avengers” channeled her inner ballerina at the 2022 Met Gala. “The dress – on all its pink glory, drama, and tulle – immediately spoke to me,” said Tessa. “Its construction is so beautiful and intricate and speaks to the glamour.”
