Their story begins in sixth grade when Shōko transfers to Shōya’s elementary school and quickly finds herself bullied and isolated. Years later, the tables turn, and Shōya finds himself isolated and alone. A SILENT VOICE depicts the struggles and challenges of adolescence alongside coming-of-age outside the norm.

Come join us next month as we celebrate the 5th Anniversary of A Silent Voice (2017), a beloved story about young Shoya Ishida who goes on a journey of self-redemption after he is ostracized in school for bullying Shoko Nishimiya, a deaf girl who ends up transferring schools.
